Sustainability determines our actions
Using instead of owning: Our customers rely on Mewa's 360° service: a thoroughly sustainable business model. Mewa also sets standards for environmental protection and resource conservation in production and logistics.
01Saving water
To avoid polluting the environment, we have developed our own washing process with special dosing and control systems, and at our washing sites we have installed our own waste water treatment systems. Our cascade technology, in addition, lets the wash water be reused many times over. Compared to standard household washing processes, our system thus succeeds in significantly reducing water consumption and environmental pollution.

02Waste water treatment
As early as 1975, Mewa commissioned the first wastewater treatment plant designed in-house.

03Resource conservation
To reduce waste in the long term, we store our textiles in reusable packaging – another step that saves resources and the environment. But that’s not all.

The good feeling of living sustainability.
What is considered a megatrend today has been the order of the day at Mewa for over 110 years: We design our internal processes to be just as sustainable as our business model itself, and here too we are continuously working to become even better.

Our goal is to make distribution completely climate-neutral. With sustainable mobility technology such as the industry’s first hydrogen trucks plus electric hubs and cargo bikes in Berlin and Hamburg, we are breaking new ground in distribution – and this is just the start.
Think long-term, act deliberately.
We are here. For the people we provide with cleaning cloths and oil absorption mats. For the people who work at Mewa. And for the localities and communities where our plants are located throughout Europe.
01A fair employer
As a family business steeped in tradition, it matters a great deal to us that our employees, wherever and however they work for Mewa, experience purpose, satisfaction and appreciation in their work.
